GUESS WHO FELL OFF?
It was Humpty dumpty yep and he had a mighty big fall..........
OK OK I did!!! I fell off. Call me Humpty, call me what you will, but guess what?? I am back ON bitches.
I could tell you a million excuses as to why I fell off the past couple weeks, but who wants excuses? ONWARD THROUGH THE FOG!!
We all fall off. This means we lose our motivation or we procrastinate, or we actually have something come up in our life that keeps us from working out.
Being real on the inside means I am a queen procrastinator, lazy at times, and lose motivation just like the rest of you.
What makes me (AND YOU!) different is that I know how to GET BACK ON.
STEP 1: to get back on you must forgive yourself for falling off
|*SINGLE LEG PLANK* I may have forgiven|
myself for falling off but my roots right now are
This brings me back to what I have mentioned in prior posts --- DON'T TALK ABOUT WHAT YOU WANT TO CHANGE, JUST HIT THE GYM. Get it done. That is all.
STEP 2: Nice fresh playlist. It's been a while since you've hit the gym which means lots of new hype songs you love are just waiting to be put into a new refreshing gym playlist. Name your playlist something motivational - I just made one called 'Barbie Pump'. Sounds sexual hay? Copy me if you want! But I'm not to sure if 'Aqua' does it for everyone in the gym like it's doing for me right now...I swear I'm hardcore besides that......awkward.
|Try a couple Push ups. Lord have Mercy -- these are not easy! |
Even though we are Barbies, we don't do Barbie weights or Girl push ups'.
I hate who ever invented both those things.
Just get your ass to the gym. Just get there. Take your time, stroll around and just get through your workout. Don't worry about being perfect. Stretch a little, take it easy, wake up your muscles a little bit, don't hurt yourself.
Below are my equations for success and for failure...follow carefully:
Day 1 in the gym a success + skipping day 2 = easier to skip day 3 = easier to skip day 4 X 100 = You've fallen back off = FAILURE
Now look at the difference with this equation:
Now bare with me through this one...
Day 4 in the gym a success = missing a day in the gym wouldn't be worth it because you've just pushed yourself to get there for 4 days.
Getting into a pattern or a routine is what's going to keep your training regular, steady, and non optional. Take your no excuses attitude and GET TO THE GYM. Get back on. You will feel great:)
Okay now the dangerous and sneaky thing we also do........Partial-Fall Off:
You've been going to the gym now and are back into your routine, but have taken more than 2 rest days off (we like to train for 5 days, and rest for 2). You look at the calender and realize you've taken 3 days off....or 4...or 5...or it's been a week and you haven't lifted a weight or hit a cardio machine. GO BACK TO STEP 1- - AUTOMATIC FORGIVENESS, and get back on.
This is all seems so simple but complicated at the same time. I'm confusing myself here. But it makes sense. I promise.
Don't be a Humpty, dust your shoulder off with those pretty pink weight lifting gloves and get back on, better, stronger, and more motivated than ever!!!!!!!!!!
See you at the gym my sexual dumplings!!!
I dedicate this 'Aqua' beat to all my Barbies
I ALSO JUST WANT TO SAY CONGRATS TO MY FAV PRO TENNIS PLAYER AND GOOD FRIEND KYLA FOR STILL BANGING IT OUT IN THE GYM DAILY EVEN THOUGH SHE IS CURRENTLY INJURED!! WORK THOSE ARMS GIRLS!
